Welcome to Women’s Ministries of the
Brooklyn Seventh-day Adventist Church
Mission:
The mission of the Brooklyn Women’s Ministry is to encourage and equip women to live and share the distinctive Adventist message through prayer, study of God’s Word, and service in the home, church and community.
Objectives:
- Disciple women to have meaningful personal devotional time and in-depth Bible study.
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment for Christian fellowship for building up of the church.
- Equip women to share Jesus in their sphere of influence.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran of Bible study, or a novice, you are welcome to join us! We gather around the tables for brunch and open our Bibles to examine the life of a woman in the Bible, drawing instruction and encouragement for our own lives. We then participate in an interactive Bible study where we learn Bible study methods or tools. You know the saying, Give man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. That’s our unwritten motto so you not only learn Bible teachings, but you also learn how to study for yourself! Our study time is followed by encouragement on an aspect of prayer. We then listen to prayer requests and then we pray for each other. We leave feeling spiritually refreshed, strengthened in the knowledge of God’s word, and encouraged because we know we are praying for each other.
